I’ve got a confession to make: I’m kind of a salt snob.
I don’t remember the last time I bought regular table salt, and quite frankly, I see no use for it. There’s a whole array of delicious salts that exist in the world that taste a thousand times better than boring table salt.
This is my current “salt collection”. The Fleur de Sel is the most used up bottle – I use it in cooking, in desserts (it’s perfect in chocolate …
You know I don’t do the gluten-free thing, but I like trying new things. I was given the opportunity to try our Chef Anthony Russo’s new line of all natural gluten-free pizzas. These are frozen pizzas bringing another product to the market for a gluten-free product.
I haven’t always had the best of luck trying gluten-free products so I was maybe a little wary about this one. But adventurous about it in any case!

I had the opportunity to review a few new products from the San Diego based Sunsweet Bakery. Now I’m sure you probably associate “Sunsweet” with “Prunes” since they usually make a bunch of prune stuff that no one really seems to want to talk about. But they’re coming out with a new line of baked goods that use their “Plum Amazins” products… which… is sort of repacking prunes to be way more hip and appealing to the masses.

Popcorn is one of those snacks that I sometimes just really crave. I love the light, airy, crunchy texture of popcorn and I often can’t resist it’s allure when I go out to the theaters. I also usually keep a bag of microwaveable popcorn in the cabinet for when the craving arises and I don’t feel like shaking a pot over the stove.
I haven’t tried too many bagged popcorns though, so when I got the offer to try Gaslamp Popcorn …

This is really kind of the “lazy girl’s” method to do pork belly sliders with steamed buns since I didn’t actually make any of the ingredients – I just cooked them! The whole thing took maybe 20 minutes to do, if that. I’ve been playing around with ideas for a dinner for this Saturday and one item I wanted to make was something akin to the bao sandwiches we had in Vegas last summer.
This is the easy, cheap way to …
