deep fried turkey and corn fritters for thanksgiving


Mary is a San Diego native and has been a food blogger for 11+ years. She is an avid reader, a lover of puppies, and loves trying new food. Foods she loves: sweets, peanut butter, pasta, Triscuit crackers with cream cheese, and extra nuts on top of her sundaes. Food she dislikes: pickles, really spicy food, runny eggs, olives, and too much arugula.

    Yum! I have only have deep fried turkey once but crave it especially the dark meat you you do. Nice there’s an option out there rather than the scary outdoor fryers.

      Hi Darlene – I’m very much a dark meat kind of person, but deep fried still tastes pretty good. The outdoor fryers are pretty intimidating!

  2. I’ve only had deep fried turkey once at a friend’s party and man, was it good! I liked seeing your step by step photos of the turkey frying process.

    The corn fritters look really tasty! OMG, fried food = yum.

      Hi CC – Thanks! The corn fritters turned out really well, but I think I would add different (or more) seasonings next time. And I want to try it with creamed corn!
