I’m happy to say that it’s that time of year again – we’re gearing up for the 2nd Annual San Diego Food Bloggers Bake Sale!
Last year our little group was able to raise $1750 for the Share Our Strength foundation and their cause to put an end to childhood hunger. Overall, the Food Blogger Bake Sales across the country raised $25,000 with 26 bake sales! How awesome is that?!
I’m thrilled to be taking part again this year. We’ll be setting up shop once again at Great News! Cooking School in Pacific Beach, CA on April 28, 2012 from 10AM to 2PM.
We hope to raise our goals to $2500 this year – I hope you can make it out to our sale and buy some of the treats that my fellow bloggers will be selling. There was so much good stuff there last year and I took home a lot of great goodies to hoard share with Jake and the kids.
Special Auction
In the hopes of raising additional money this year, I will also be holding a personal auction of baked goodies. I will be holding the auction starting Monday, April 16th and will hold it until April 20th. This will include:
– 6 mini baby bundt cakes (winner picks between lemon, earl grey tea and carrot)
– bacon chocolate caramel crackers
– 1 quick bread (winner picks between pumpkin chocolate, blueberry lemon and banana bread)
– 6 chocolate chip sandwich cookies
[the bacon chocolate crackers will kind of look like the above…]
