One of the last free items I got was this lovely cup of ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery:
It’s a “Like It” creation – I got French Vanilla ice cream with a brownie mix it. It was pretty good. I’m not too big on Cold Stone Creamery myself. I prefer Baskin Robbins because they have my all-time favorite ice cream there (Chocolate and Peanut Butter).
So, my birthday is over and done with now. Here’s what I didn’t use, simply because I ran out of time or couldn’t easily get to one of their locations:
Arby’s – Free shake with purchase of a Roastburger*
Baskin Robbins – 1 free scoop
Ben & Jerry’s – 1 free scoop
Boudin Bakery – 1 free baked good
Chili’s – Free dessert with entree purchase
Dairy Queen – Buy one Blizzard, get one free
El Torito – Free meal (any item – I don’t think a purchase is necessary)
Hometown Buffet – Buy one get one free
Mimi’s Cafe – $10 off a purchase of $20
Noodles & Company – Free dish
Red Lobster – $5 off 2 adult meals
Romano’s Macaroni Grill – Free chocolate cake
Souplantation – Buy one get one free
Check online or do a Google search for other free birthday foods!
* I actually got this, but I didn’t like it, so I chose to not blog about it.
As a side note, here’s the birthday cake I made for my own dinner party:
I didn’t make the orchid. I bought it. Pretty!
Mimi’s is a good deal. (We always try to get to *exactly* the minimum allowable purchase) I am amazed at the quality of food there.
You didn’t sign up for Quizno’s…they will warm a cookie for your birthday. No purchase. No, I didn’t.
Last year I got a free shake from Del Taco; this year, nada… 🙁
Happy belated birthday!

I didn’t know about Quizno’s – good tip! I haven’t seen that one on any lists. I forgot to mention there’s one for Starbucks, but only if you already have one of their cards. If you do, then you get a free coffee on your actual birthday.
