The Boathouse is a bay side seafood restaurant overlooking the harbor on Harbor Island. Each month they have a special Birthday Night set aside to honor birthdays. Birthday go-ers receive a complimentary Prime Rib dinner – you only need to make a reservation, show your ID and make an additional purchase at the table (such as a drink, appetizer, or dessert).
My boyfriend and I share October birthdays so we were totally excited to go to the Boathouse for our Prime Rib dinner.
It’s a pretty simple meal – Prime Rib (I got mine done Medium), garlic mashed potatoes and au jus for dipping. The prime rib was excellent, tender and delicious dipped in the au jus. The garlic mashed potatoes were also good, I just thought they were a bit dry and lacked something… like maybe some gravy? I won’t complain too much about it though. Regular price for this meal is $22.99. They also serve it on Friday’s for $11.99 (additional purchase required).
The other items here on the menu are also excellent – they have a variety of seafood dishes and other weekly specials such as King Crab on Mondays for $11.99 and Lobster night on Wednesdays for $11.99. If you plan accordingly, you can get some killer deals here for your seafood fix!
