anniversary dinner at toast enoteca & cucina

Congrats Jake and Mary – 8 years is such a milestone. Thanks for keeping it real to share that you guys have ups and downs too. I don’t understand the cupcake meaning but I don’t understand anything Star Wars so there ya go. I’ve heard about Toast Enoteca. It seems like a cute place. I’m not a fan of raisins, especially when used in other hot/cold dishes! Apricots as a crust/topping sounds a bit strange but maybe it’s not that bad. Happy Anniversary Mary ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Faye! Thank you so much ๐Ÿ™‚ Yeah, I figured you wouldn’t get the Star Wars reference, but it’s okay haha. I included a little video for reference! Yeah, I don’t like raisins in my food. Especially “surprise” raisins. At least if I see them I can avoid them and retire them to the trash can.

  2. Awwww, Happy Anniversary to you and Jake! May you have many many more! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the Star Wars reference!!!!! I’m old enough to have actually seen the first one in the movie theaters, haha!

Bert and I tried Toast Enoteca a few years ago (Groupon deal). I liked the idea of the wine pours. Your meal looked amazing although the fruit crusted chicken was a little different. It doesn’t to try new things though right!

    Once again, Happy Anniversary!

Thank you very much, CC! I was not born yet when the first one came out but Jake saw it in the theater! ๐Ÿ˜€ I don’t mind trying new things, you never know if you’re going to like it until you try it, right?

Congrats and happy anniversary! You guys are so cute =) I have a gift certificate to this place but haven’t checked it out yet. The lasagna sounds like something I would enjoy!

Thank you, Jinxi! Hope you like it when you go and try it out ๐Ÿ™‚ I think you would like the lasagna! I’m glad I only had a few bites, it was so rich.

  4. Ahhh 8 years congrats!!!! I don’t know why I always think of relationships in terms of people and if your relationship was a person it would be a third grader (I think) and it would be able to read, write, play sports, and probably be on Instagram and Facebook (the kids these days). Anyways its a long time and hope you guys have many more years of Star Wars and Firefly themed anniversaries ๐Ÿ™‚

I for ONCE got the reference! I had only watched the new Star Wars which the bf thought was apalling, and we just started watching Episode 4 yesterday. We paused it right after they see the Death Star and they go “That’s no moon!”

Hi J.S. – Oh man, I TOTALLY do the same thing! I think of anniversaries as people/kids hahah. It makes it seem more “real” that way and a way to make it more relatable. Otherwise you don’t really realize how much time has passed. Kids these days, man. haha!

I’m glad you got the reference, HOORAY! It is quite necessary in life to see allllllll the Star Wars movies. There are so many cultural references to that movie, it’s insane. You should have started with the original series, man. It’s so much better ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. congrats to 8 years! you guys are such a cute couple! i’m not sure if i’ve seen the three original star wars movies… the plot of spaceballs sticks out much more for me! maybe i learned what i know because of the spoof! the ‘aim to please’ photo is of course awesome! and look, your nail polish is almost pizza crust colored in that one pic!
