Pinkberry 100 Stores / Macy’s Culinary Council

Quick post about upcoming events and contests in Southern California!

Pinkberry 100 Stores Contest

1st: Pinkberry is holding a new contest called “100 Stores, 100 Ways” to celebrate the opening of their 100th store:

The contest encourages Pinkberry enthusiasts to explain in 100 words or less their favorite Pinkberry combinations, creative ways to eat Pinkberry, and how Pinkberry has played a part in their life. If so inspired, entrants may wish to write a story, ode, poem or song.  Optional Flickr photos and YouTube videos can accompany the submission.

The prize?

The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 Pinkberry VIPink Card and 10 first-place winners will each get $50 Pinkberry gift cards.

That is seriously a lot of Pinkberry to win. If you’re a Pinkberry fangirl or fanboy, check out their website for contest rules and to enter. Good luck, folks!

Macy’s Culinary Council with Chef Takashi Yagihashi in San Diego

The Macy’s Culinary Council is at it again with another cooking demo in a Macy’s Home Store. This week they’ll be featuring Chef Takashi Yagihashi who will share some of his favorite recipes and gourmet techniques direct from the kitchen of his renowned Chicago restaurant, Takashi. Following the demonstration, Chef Yagihashi will sign copies of his cookbook which will be available for purchase the day of the event.

They actually have a short video on the Macy’s website where Chef Yagihashi demo’s how to make spring rolls. Neat little video and maybe a little preview of what you’ll be able to see at his demo this week?
