I would totally make cute things like this and make delicious pies. I can do graham cracker crusts just fine. I know I can buy those premade crusts at the store, too. And yet somehow I’ve also managed to ruin those. Pie crust isn’t my friend but I wish it would be. I suppose I just need more practice. My ranting is done for today. Thank you for listening. The end.
I wish I could make pie crust

Meh. Trader Joe’s has perfectly decent frozen pie crusts (made with butter) that come pre-rolled to the perfect thickness and they are nice and round. I don’t have a need to make pie crust from scratch… unless I’m out of frozen ones!
I must have missed them at Trader Joe’s! They have bake it yourself chocolate croissants that I totally love love love. I’ll have to find that pie crust and see if I can manage to not totally ruin another pie. The last time I tried to make a pie with pastry crust I had to throw it away. Ugh.
I feel your pain. Pie crust is really tricky. I struggled for years and then finally made friends with homemade crusts. Somehow just surrendering to it being less than perfect helped. Keep trying.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Cheers!

.-= yummy supper´s last blog ..Caramelized Rosemary Walnuts =-.
pie crusts are hard!!! i’m just a beginner and i’ve fiddled around w/ different recipes…i find it best to make sure everything is COLD and not to handle the butter too much, but still i got a long way to go before i can master it. i’ve had one premade pie crust i got at henry’s before and it was salty. grahm cracker or nilla wafer crusts are always good too for certain things…like banana cream pie! one of my favorite…and quite easy to make!
