In the spirit of fairs there’s a bacon food competition going on and YOU can still register to enter your bacon entry for the fest. Here’s the details about the competition and be on the lookout for my preview post and special giveaway for the Big Bite Bacon Fest!

The Big Bite Bacon Fest is the “Foodtainment” event of Epic Pork-Portions!  Making its debut at the 2013 San Diego County Fair, this swine soiree captured the hearts of the culinary community and food enthusiasts alike and, thanks to the Huffington Post, USA Today, and Yahoo! Canada, it was the bacon event heard round the world!

We have heard the squeals of our bacon loving fans and have answered the call for “More Bacon!” by bringing not just one great bacon event to Southern California, but TWO!  The summer of 2014 will see the return of the Big Bite Bacon Fest at the San Diego County Fair (7/5/14) and the first ever Big Bite Bacon Fest at the Queen Mary in Long Beach (8/2/14).  Enough about us though… let’s get to the point of YOU being a star at our Bacon show!

We are calling all chefs, home cooks, and kid cooks to compete at the Big Bite  Bacon dish competition; if you have mad skills in the kitchen, then register to compete for your share of the prize pot and go head to head against some of the areas best chefs and home cooks! You can even earn a Golden Ticket entry to compete at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas this fall!  That’s an opportunity to meet and compete against many world renewed chefs and industry leaders!   The deadline to enter the San Diego Contest is THIS Friday, June 13th and the deadline for the Long Beach contest is Friday July 11th.
