Jake and I finally went to Urban Solace last night (post to come!) and then went to Heaven Sent Desserts after for a Red Velvet Cupcake. It’s his new favorite dessert and I’m not complaining since we shared it.
While we were in the shop, I saw this really neat cake for St. Patrick’s Day!
Love the bottle cap on top, too. Awesome! If you don’t have $40 to drop on a Guinness cake though, they do have chocolate and Guinness cupcakes (with green frosting and a little shamrock on top) for $3.50. I can attest to it’s tastiness as well since I had one on Sunday (sorry, no photo of that).

Paul and I are huge fans of the chocolate chip cookies at Heaven Sent. That cake looks amazing.
I loved that pistachio cake I got that evening we all went – I keep popping in to see if they have it again!

urban solace and heaven sent is a good combo – so close to each other too. love the cheese biscuits with orange honey butter at urban solace. that guinness cake looks cool too! their desserts are usually pretty good but they’ve kind of gone downhill presentationwise (in my opinion).
Hi CC – Happy St. Patty’s Day to you, too! I did kind of notice that… in January the red velvet cupcakes had flowers and dragees on them and now they have cake crumbles on top. Still tastes good, though, but I do agree the presentation has “slacked” off a little.
