new holiday flavor from pinkberry: pumpkin!

Last week the folks at Pinkberry debuted their new holiday flavor for the fall. Replacing summer’s flavor is a fall favorite: Pumpkin!

Here’s a “good image” of the new Pinkberry flavor.

I was contacted by a PR rep for Pinkberry and they offered to bring in some samples for myself and my co-workers on Friday afternoon. We got little sample cups with their swirly whip, a small dusting of cinnamon and graham crackers on the side. I chose to crumble up the graham crackers and mix them directly into my frozen yogurt – I liked the crunch with the cold yogurt.

I thought the flavor was more of a mild pumpkin flavor – it doesn’t really hit you over the head with it, which actually works for me. I once tried the pumpkin ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery and it was way too strong for me – I mixed it with vanilla to balance it out – and the Pinkberry Pumpkin flavor had a similar feeling to me – that it tastes better mild. It’s still got the classic tart-ish yogurt flavor and isn’t overly sweet. After a few spoonfuls I enjoyed it and the balance of flavor.

Looking to sample the new Pumpkin Pinkberry yourself? There are 3 Pinkberry locations in San Diego (and many more in the north land!) – including Carmel Mountain, Hillcrest and in the Gaslamp Quarter. Check out the Pinkberry website for location information or more details on their new holiday flavor or other flavor lineup.
